February 13, 2025 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST
Join us on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 1:00 pm ET as the NMFTA cybersecurity team discusses the Practical Cybersecurity for Owner Operators.
Description
Last month, National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA)™ introduced its Cybersecurity Best Practices Guidebook – Owner Operator and Small Fleet edition. While all the controls listed in that guidebook are technically relevant to the owner operator of five or fewer trucks, many of those controls were written with the small independent fleet owner (6-50 trucks) in mind.
This month’s complimentary webinar is made specifically for owner operators and will focus on practical cybersecurity steps tailored to those who own their own small business. Recognizing that over 90% of registered MC numbers are small operators, we’ll avoid technical jargon and provide actionable advice to protect business and personal assets from cybercrime. Participants will gain tools and confidence to enhance their cybersecurity awareness and resilience.
Learning Outcomes
By attending this webinar, you will:
- Understand core cybersecurity steps specifically for owner operators.
- Learn how to protect business assets, personal accounts, finances, and credit history from cyber-enabled crimes.
- Discover practical, free, and affordable measures to improve cybersecurity preparedness.
