Overview

NMFTA will be hosting three days of meetings and social activities offering many forums for discussion of issues important to the LTL motor carrier industry. Mark your calendars and make plans to attend our upcoming meeting at the Marriott Long Beach Downtown in Long Beach, CA, from September 27-29, 2026.

Attendance is limited to NMFTA LTL carrier members. Any officer, owner, or employee of a motor carrier who is a member of NMFTA can register.

Our special group rate is $269.00 per night plus all applicable taxes and fees. Our block will be available until Friday, August 28, 2026, or until the block sells out, whichever comes first.

Antitrust Training – In this session we will cover laws and regulations designed to promote fair competition, including bid rigging, market allocation, competitor communications, and guidelines for ethical business conduct and compliance.

Classification Resource Committee – The Classification Resource Committee (CRC) provides information and other resources to the Freight Classification Development Center (FCDC) on matters relating to the content of the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC)®. It provides information on classification research activities, the transportation characteristics of products moving via motor carrier and on motor carrier operations. The CRC may make recommendations and give advice regarding the procedures for developing and maintaining the NMFC.

Regulatory Policy Committee – The Regulatory Policy Committee considers and directs participation on behalf of the membership for regulatory, and/or judicial proceedings which it deems to be of interest to or affect the membership in the conduct of their business which benefit, or are perceived as a detriment to, the motor carrier industry.
