Who can become an NMFTA member?
Organizations involved in or supporting the LTL freight industry may be eligible for membership. Individual memberships are also available for select councils.
How long does the application process take?
Applications are reviewed by our Membership team. Processing times vary depending on membership type.
Can multiple employees participate?
Yes. Organizational membership allows eligible employees to activate their membership and participate across NMFTA programs and councils.
What happens after approval?
You’ll receive onboarding instructions, access to member resources, and information about how to engage with councils, events, standards development, and additional opportunities.

What’s the difference between access vs engagement LTL Carrier membership?
Whether your organization is an access member or an engagement member is determined by the total gross LTL revenue amount you submitted when you last renewed your membership. Revenue under $5,000,000 is access membership. Engagement membership is total gross LTL revenue of $5,000,000.01 or greater.
