As someone deeply involved in cybersecurity for the freight industry, I can tell you: the threats we’re facing aren’t hypothetical anymore. They’re operational. They’re financial. And they’re accelerating.
That’s why I’m proud to invite you to the NMFTA Cybersecurity Conference, happening October 26-28 in Austin, TX.
This year’s keynote speaker is someone I’m especially excited about: David Carroll.
He brings a perspective few others can offer. Known for his groundbreaking work in digital privacy and his role in exposing the Cambridge Analytica scandal, David has also worked closely with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)—the federal agency tasked with protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure.
His message to the freight industry is clear:
“Transportation is no longer just about moving goods. It’s about protecting the digital systems that make movement possible.”
David will share insights from his time at CISA, where he helped shape national strategies for defending against systemic cyber threats. He’ll explore how freight companies can build resilience—not just to protect data, but to safeguard operations, reputation, and trust.
This conference isn’t just for IT teams—it’s for executives, fleet leaders, and operations strategists who need to understand cyber risk in business terms. You’ll hear from leaders who have experienced cyberattacks at Estes Express Lines and Werner Enterprises, as well as experts from industry suppliers such as Airiam, a leader in ransomware recovery and resilience planning, and Perygee, a leader who delivers lightweight, practical security solutions for IoT and telematics.
It’s time to walk away from a conference with tools you can actually use.
If you care about protecting your fleet, your data, and your reputation, this is the event to attend.
Let’s secure the future of freight—together.
