With transportation among the top five most-attacked sectors, NMFTA gathers cybersecurity experts to protect the future of freight.
With the transportation sector ranked as the fifth most attacked industry in 2024 (7% of attacks globally) according to IBM’s 2025 X‑Force Threat Intelligence Index, those who haul freight and work in the supply chain can no longer afford to treat cybersecurity as an afterthought.
To help the industry move from awareness to action, the National Motor Freight Traffic Association Inc. (NMFTA)™, will host its third annual Cybersecurity Conference from October 26-28, 2025, in Austin, TX.
This event, designed specifically for trucking decision makers and cybersecurity leads, delivers tactical confidence: risk tools, playbooks, control mapping, and peer networking with fleet and tech leadership, plus original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
It uniquely addresses both asset-level and enterprise-level threats, from connected vehicle vulnerabilities to back-office breaches. Attendees will hear directly from peers, industry leaders, and technical experts, and this year’s agenda reflects NMFTA’s expanded focus on cyber-enabled cargo theft, with multiple sessions dedicated to tackling this growing risk.
Meet our 2025 carrier speakers below:
- Tom Baughman, executive vice president of technology, Kenan Advantage Group
- Casey Brown, brokerage operations manager, Bellavance Trucking
- Jonathan Dalia, Ph.D., IT director, Langer Transport
