ClassIT+ progress comes to life at NMFTA’s 2025 Summer Meeting
Last week, our membership meeting was more than just a routine update—it was a vibrant, collaborative exchange that highlighted the power of community-driven innovation. A week after the meeting, the buzz and energy from day 2 can still be felt thanks to two standout sessions: first, an engaging, interactive demo of ClassIT+™, followed by a candid beta panel discussion with key participants who’ve been hands-on since day one.
Holly Taylor, director of product at the National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA)™, kicked things off with a deep dive into the key features and benefits of ClassIT+. The demo was fully interactive, showcasing real-time searches and workflows, and demonstrating how the new features streamline tasks and enhance the user experience.
What made this demo truly special was the conversation it sparked. Members asked insightful questions and offered a variety of suggestions that were both constructive and energizing. From discussing the user experience, to the witty banter, to counting how many times the word “exciting” was used, this demo was filled with valuable feedback and collaboration—proof that ClassIT+ has been shaped by both design and dialogue.
Following the ClassIT+ demo, Joe Ohr, chief operating officer at NMFTA, brought together several key participants in our beta program: Sheryl Ervin from Southeastern Freight Lines, Zack Green from XPO, and Greg Joyner from FedEx Freight.
These early adopters have been working closely with the application for several weeks and their experiences provided rich insight into the journey so far. “The beta is probably the most important thing that we did to prepare for release,” stated Ohr. “We wanted to not only test performance but focus in on those areas that are key to our users’ experience.”
The discussion didn’t shy away from the bumps in the road—panelists openly shared where things didn’t quite hit the mark, as well as when the experience exceeded expectations. Greg Joyner even emphasized how he approached his managers and stressed the importance of “honest feedback” and making sure they selected participants “who will do what they need to do to make sure we get information back to you.”
“Day one was rough. But once our team saw how fast your team addressed every issue—especially with the search function—they were all in. The feedback loop was real, and the result was a faster, more usable system. Honestly, it’s way better than what we had before. Search is now almost instantaneous.”
— Greg Joyner, FedEx Freight
The candor and enthusiasm of the panelists were meaningful reminders of how essential it is to listen and grow with your audience, not against it. The biggest takeaway wasn’t any misstep; instead, we walked away excited about the usability, intuitiveness, and responsiveness of ClassIT+, and how the team at NMFTA has embraced feedback through quick turnarounds and ongoing support. With over a hundred participants across eight organizations, our beta program is a good example of how our users are just as excited about ClassIT+ as we are.
“The ability to share findings between teams—especially for recurring shippers—is going to be amazing. Features like company common and synonyms are incredibly helpful. ClassIT+ is built in a way that makes collaboration easy without overcomplicating the user experience.”
— Zack Green, XPO
“What I didn’t expect was how transparent and collaborative this beta process would be. We’ve been able to raise issues and get real fixes quickly. It wasn’t just a test—it felt like a true partnership with the NMFTA team. That level of honesty and responsiveness builds trust.”
— Sheryl Ervin, Southeastern Freight Lines
This meeting wasn’t just a routine check-in. It was a checkpoint and an important moment to showcase the benefits of ClassIT+, its usability, and the dedication of our members in making it successful.
We’re so grateful to everyone who joined our discussions, participated in our panel, and contributed to this experience. Your input doesn’t just influence, it defines and drives our success as we approach the launch of ClassIT+ on July 15, 2025. Thank you!
