Shipping & Handling 

Most of National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc.® (NMFTA) products are digital goods such as online applications or data subscriptions provided electronically, not physically. When products are shipped physically, the following conditions apply.

  • Included for shipments to addresses in the United States (U.S.) and Canada. 
  • Call (866) 411-6632 for shipping charges to other countries. 
  • Normal shipment method to subscribers within the continental U.S. is via UPS ground service for printed matter. 
  • Delivery is made to all other subscribers, including those in the U.S. with post office box addresses, by mail.

Returns & Refunds

  • Returns on printed matter are subject to a $15.00 per item restocking and handling charge. 
  • No refunds will be made for printed matter after two weeks of processing the order. 
  • No refunds or credits for any other products including online and data subscriptions.

SCAC Payment Methods

  • We accept the following payment methods:
    • Major Debit/Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
    • ACH Payments from US financial institutions only.
    • Wire Transfers, both domestic and international.
  • Please note that we do not accept the following payment methods:
    • Personal bank card transfers.
    • PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, or other similar pay applications. 

SCAC Payment Policy

  • For new SCAC applications, payment is due upon submission of the SCAC application. 
  • For SCAC renewals, payment is due by the current SCAC code expiration date. 
  • For SCAC reinstatement, payment is due at time of reinstatement.
  • Payments processed by phone or mail will incur an additional fee. See the table above.

SCAC Renewal, Reinstatement, & Cancellation Policy

  • All renewals are valid for one (1) year from the current expiration date. 
  • Multi-year renewals are not supported. 
  • Codes that are not renewed by their expiration date are automatically set as expired. 
  • Codes that have expired for less than three (3) years can be reinstated. 
  • Reinstatement fees include the current year renewal fee plus a reinstatement fee, which is based on how long the code has expired. See SCAC Reinstatement fees detailed above.
  • Codes that have expired for more than three (3) years are automatically made available for reassignment. 
  • Codes can be cancelled at any time. Contact NMFTA customer service for assistance.

SCAC Refund Policy

  • SCAC application fees will be refunded if we find that your company has an active code. 
  • SCAC application fees will be refunded if we find that your company has an expired/ inactive code and instructions will be provided on how to reinstate your existing code. 
  • No refunds will be made for SCAC renewals.
  • No refunds will be made for SCAC cancellations.

  • Subscription fees will be refunded if we find that your company has a duplicate subscription.
