(NMFTA)™\, he plays a pivotal role in helping to advance the industry through classification and digitization.  \n\n\n\nPrior to his role at NMFTA\, Peterson started his career as a driver for TWT Refrigerated Transport\, then worked in operations for System Transport and Interstate Distributor Co.\, all asset-based carriers. He then served in numerous strategic operations positions at Qualcomm and Omnitracs\, and most recently held the position of Senior Director of Professional Services at Solera\, Inc.  \n\n\n\nHe earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Eastern Washington University in Cheney\, WA.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdam Mercer is the Classification Development Manager at the National Motor Freight Traffic Association\, Inc. (NMFTA)™.  \n\n\n\nIn this role\, he is instrumental in advancing initiatives to streamline and modernize the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC®)\, ensuring it remains relevant and efficient for the less-than-truckload (LTL) industry.   \n\n\n\nAdam collaborates with industry stakeholders to gather data and insights\, enhancing the NMFC’s accuracy and applicability. He also plays a key role in organizing and conducting public meetings of the Freight Classification Development Council (FCDC)\, where proposed amendments to the NMFC are discussed and evaluated.   \n\n\n\nMercer is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax\, VA and earned his Bachelor of Arts in English with Honors\, specializing in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLarissa Franklin is a Packaging Development Manager at the National Motor Freight Traffic Association\, Inc.
