SUMMARY:Panel Insights: NMFTA Cargo Crime Prevention Framework
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, July 17\, 2025\, the National Motor Freight Traffic Association (NMFTA)™ cybersecurity team presented Panel Insights: NMFTA Cargo Crime Prevention Framework. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nAccess Recording\n\n\n\n\nDescription\n\n\n\nCargo theft isn’t just a physical security issue—it’s a multi-dimensional challenge that spans cyber vulnerabilities\, operational procedures\, and on-the-ground safeguards. Addressing these risks requires a converged\, layered defense approach. \n\n\n\nIn this second session of our ongoing series\, a panel of industry experts discussed the NMFTA Cargo Crime Reduction Framework—a practical resource designed to help organizations proactively reduce theft risk through integrated security practices and supply chain collaboration. \n\n\n\nWhat you’ll learn: \n\n\n\n\nHow the framework works: Break down the structure and logic behind the framework’s controls and how they reinforce each other across cyber\, operational\, and physical domains.\n\n\n\nReal-world application: Learn how different stakeholders—from shippers and carriers to 3PLs—are applying the framework in everyday operations.\n\n\n\nCross-sector collaboration: Understand how the framework supports stronger communication with law enforcement and partners to improve incident response and case outcomes.\n\n\n\nActionable next steps: Get guidance on integrating the framework’s principles into your organization’s security practices no matter where you are in your journey.\n\n\n\n\nWho should watch:This session is ideal for professionals involved in freight movement and protection\, including: \n\n\n\n\nFleet operators;\n\n\n\nBrokers and shippers;\n\n\n\n3PLs and logistics providers;\n\n\n\nCargo insurers;\n\n\n\nSupply chain security and risk management teams; \n\n\n\nLaw enforcement liaisons\, and others.\n\n\n\n\nIf your organization touches the movement or protection of freight\, this discussion will provide essential insights for strengthening your security posture. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet Your Speakers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoe Ohr has more than two decades of experience in technical operations\, customer success management\, IT\, customer support\, and product support.  \n\n\n\nCurrently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for the National Motor Freight Traffic Association\, Inc.
