About the Event

NMFTA will be hosting three days of meetings and social activities designed to be forums for discussion of issues important to the LTL motor carrier industry. Make plans to attend our upcoming 2024 Spring Meeting at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, CO, March 10-12, 2024.

The closest airport to the hotel is the Colorado Springs Airport (COS). It is less than 10 miles from the airport to the hotel. You can view airlines and flight information here.

At check-in, there is also at $15.00 resort fee per room, per night plus applicable taxes. The resort fee includes; self-parking, unlimited personal Wi-Fi access, unlimited local calls, unlimited 800 calls, in-room coffee and tea, golf bag storage, access to the Country Club of Colorado and its golf course (greens fees apply), spa, fitness facility, aquatics center, beach/lake, recreation courts, and fitness classes.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway – Tuesday, March 12

Take a scenic train ride on The Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak, the inspiration behind “America the Beautiful” by Katharine Lee Bates, whose experience in 1893 on top of Pikes Peak moved her to pen the poem that became one of the most patriotic songs honoring America.  The one hour and ten minute train ride to the summit takes you up over 14,000* feet, exploring the scenic nature and wildlife along the mountain. The total time of this train ride, including time at the summit, is 3 hours.
*Please note that this train ride will reach over 14,000 feet of altitude. If you are sensitive to high elevations, you may experience altitude sickness. Proper hydration will help prevent adverse effects and alleviate symptoms. Food and drinks will be provided for your trip.

The Flying W Ranch

The Flying W Ranch has been keeping the Old West Alive since 1953 as one of the most popular destinations in the state of Colorado. As a four generation-family owned cattle ranch,  the Flying W reopened in 2020 after being damaged from the Waldo Canyon Fire, and showcases a stunning new pavilion building, perfect for events celebrating western heritage. The wild west is calling!
