Meet Your Speakers

Dave’s technology career spans 30 years and has mainly been focused on engineering, designing and building core transactional systems for some of the world’s leading fortune 500 companies. With key strengths in leadership and management of multi-talented teams he has excelled in moving the needle continuously by ensuring practical deployments of technology with a direct impact on improving operational workflows along with providing an enhanced client experience as the ROI. Currently Dave is the Chief Technology Officer for Polaris Transportation Group and NorthStar Digital Solutions, Dave’s focus is to strengthen and maintain a robust technical ecosystem for the enterprise group and its affiliated companies. The ultimate objective is to provide Polaris the foundation to be a uniquely different provider of freight services and lifecycle management with enhanced digital product capabilities. Emphasis will be placed on bleeding edge technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, AI, and Blockchain.


Ted de Vos serves as the Founder and President of SIMNET, a cloud solutions provider aimed at simplifying operations and empowering growth for businesses. He values delivering quality service and maintaining strong client relationships. With a family background in entrepreneurship, Ted naturally leans towards creative problem-solving. He brings over 25 years of experience across strategy, services, and technology to his role. Under his stewardship, SIMNET has earned trust as a reliable source for specialized cloud infrastructure and platform services. The company has also recently been acknowledged by The Silicon Review and Enterprise World for its contributions to the industry. Outside of SIMNET, Ted has invested in other ventures and completed his studies at Bishop’s University. He serves as a virtual CISO, CTO, and strategic advisor to several North American companies.


Antwan Banks acts as NMFTA’s Director of Enterprise Security. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and most recently served as director of cybersecurity for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. In the nine years he served in that position, he ensured that the authority would be well-protected by focusing on security tools, training, budgeting, strategic and tactical directions, intelligence programs, incident response and many other crucial priorities. Prior to his tenure with the Transit Authority, Antwan served as senior security engineer for Turner Broadcasting System, and was also a computer security consultant for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Disease Control.
